"Moving On"

I can't help but feel every time an artist commits pencil to paper or brush to canvas, that a piece of their soul goes out on to that surface. Every day of our lives we begin with a fresh start, like a new piece of art work. Then it is filled with the events of the day that form our inner beings and therefore our souls. All this accumulates into knowledge and experience that can be transformed into art. Sometimes we can be hesitant, through a lack of confidence, to release our art piece to the world, as it is there to be judged by all who see it, but remember as long as you are being true to yourself and passionate about your subject, you can never go wrong and best of all, you have achieved something positive in one of the precious days that becomes your life. Think of this great quote each time you start a new painting and never look back:

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
